Overview

Flats Junction is a town torn in half as the war between the two doctors spills into everyday life. Businesses are forced to choose sides, as are the people who own them. Caught in the middle are Kate, Marie and Jane, each with their own ambitions and fears. Kate, postponing her wedding for political reasons, attempts to hold onto power as the newly elected Mayor, even as she faces her own death. Marie begins to lose the battle of her depression and deep changes within her family. Jane works alongside her doctor husband to find answers to the disease threatening people and livestock, which may also be the way to stop the terrible rift at the core of Flats Junction itself. The only way forward is to look back. Can Kate, Marie and Jane heal the wounds of the past in time to save their future?
