OverviewIn Straight Talk about the Future of Humanity Dr. Woolschlager tells the unfiltered truth about our future using clear language that is easy to comprehend while adding a little humor to make this ominous topic more palatable. Although we have made some progress protecting our planet, we have lost much more ground than we have gained. We use more energy, consume more stuff, create more pollution, and destroy more natural habitat than ever before. Now we are creating new technologies that could be more dangerous than nuclear weapons. We face many serious risks, but our fate is not determined. We know what we should do, how to do it, and have the resources to do it. What we lack is the social and political resolve to get it done. Dr. Woolschlager uncovers the many reasons we are not making progress and presents some practical ideas to help build a safe and sustainable future.
