OverviewIn this book I consider the implications of accepting the inescapable truth about life. The truth? Everything in life is experienced and lived as stories. Try thinking about anything, including yourself, without calling to mind or imagining a jumble of stories and vignettes about it. Nothing exists without stories about it-not even you or me. The life that we experience is not anointed. All that is knowable and known to us was conjured by the progenitors over millennia as the Story of Life. They are stories of the pathways of a survivable reality. Because nothing can exist without stories describing the how, what, when, where and why of it, that means that existence, reality, consciousness and self, in short, everything at its core, is just our stories about it. The Story is the brick and mortar of community and us. Agency in life can be achieved by accepting that what we experience as life is just a concocted Story, and as such, it can be altered or rewritten to make our lives better.
