Overview

A boy was only five years old when he lost his parents in a buggy accident. His older brother, Blake, vowed to care for and raise him. The brothers were sent to their aunt, Anne Marie Donovan, who took no interest at all in the boys except to punish them severely. She only took them in for the substantial trust left by their father, David Cardwell. With Blake's help and encouragement Chris was able to attend college and law school and became an attorney. While in college he met Edwina Garmin. He was no stranger to women, but Edwina was very different than any woman he had ever met before. As he and Edwina became close friends, he found that his entire life was being changed by this outgoing, raucous, fun-loving lady.
