Author Information

Lynelle Kendall writes stories of imagination, discovery and adventure for children under ten. She is an early childhood educator, mother and writer who lives in the Torres Strait. Her poetry, picture books, short stories and junior fiction have a delightful mix of humor, enchantment and adventure. Lynelle believes a special kind of magic happens when stories are shared and that children's books play a vital role in winning the next generation over to a love of reading. She's seen this magic in her own life and the lives of children around her.Her work has been shortlisted in the NT Literary Awards, placed second and third in the CYA Competition, placed second in the Mulga Bill Poetry Competition and first in the Gove Peninsular Writing Competition.
