Erik Spiekermann is art historian, printer, type designer, teacher, information archi-tect and author. His work and the compa-nies he founded (MetaDesign, FontShop et al.) have had an unparalleled influence on the grapic design scene all around the world. Spiekermann is behind the design of well-known brands such as Audi and the German Railways, information systems for Berlin Transit and Dusseldorf Airport, as well as the corporate typefaces for Bosch, Mozilla and many more. His best-known typefaces are FF Meta and ITC Officina, both already considered classics.
