Overview

Malcolm Lawrence, a police officer from the Highway Patrol Unit in the city of New York, is working on a routine roadside traffic radar detail when he's catapulted into a chase turned rescuer of the driver. In doing so, he finds himself in a tailspin of one of the most intricate diabolical conspiracies of his career. The murder of his fellow officer and near fatal shooting of his best friend has led him into the depths of other heinous crimes that are occurring on the very highways he patrols. Murders, organ thefts and other atrocities are hitting close to home, but go as far as China. Malcolm, being determined to bring down a murderer, does his own investigating, but also offers an ultimate gift to save his friend. Carolyn J. Austin is a native New Yorker, born and raised in Harlem. She is a semi-retired registered nurse, with extensive experience in the emergency room department and operating room. She worked in several extremely busy and reputable hospitals. Mount Sinai, Hospital for Special Surgery, Bellevue, and Harlem Hospital, where she also was born in. She met the love of her life while working in Harlem Hospital's emergency room. She is currently married to the now retired police officer, becoming the mother of five children. Although being a complete novice to written storytelling, she's always been gifted and sought after by friends and family to write letters, essays or anything dealing with the composition of words. Being prompted by her late brother, she has taken writing a step further, in hopes of opening a new chapter in her life, fulfilling her creativity and imagination.
