OverviewThis is fluent, well crafted poetry but it is not always comfortable as Leah Kaminsky takes us on a journey with her father fleeing from Poland to escape the holocaust, then as a doctor struggling to keep her commitment to her patients, and finally to Haifa, raising children under constant danger from rockets and suicide bombers. It is deeply felt poetry, gaining its power from precision and understatement. It is poetry which recalls Carolyn Forche's compelling anthology 'Against Forgetting'. - Ron Pretty Full Product DetailsAuthor: Leah Kaminsky , David Philip ReiterPublisher: Interactive Publications Imprint: Interactive Publications Dimensions: Width: 13.50cm , Height: 0.40cm , Length: 21.00cm Weight: 0.094kg ISBN: 9781921479694ISBN 10: 1921479698 Pages: 66 Publication Date: 15 September 2010 Audience: General/trade , General Format: Paperback Publisher's Status: Active Availability: In Print ![]() This item will be ordered in for you from one of our suppliers.
