Stir it Up: a Novel

Overview

Anjali Krishnanknows that the best recipes are those that let her express who she truly is — a girl with an absolute passion for cooking. Anjali’s life is rich with the smell of curry from her parents' roti shop, the clattering of the A train as it races through her Queens neighborhood and a family as colourful and as spicy as the Trinidadian traditions they’ve worked hard to maintain. But when Mum and Dad’s Old World beliefs are stirred up with Anjali’s modern ways, the ingredients don’tnbsp; mix well together. More than anything, Anjali wants to be a celebrity chef. When the chance comes to compete on a kids’ cooking reality TV show, Anjali puts her heart and soul into making her dream come true.nbsp; nbsp;Woven with recipes that cook up emotions and actual culinary instructions for innovative dishes, this novel will take readers on a delectable journey through one girl’s desire to bring spice and relevance to her life. Popular food writer Ramin Ganeshram delivers a novel that is as delicious as it is satisfying.
