Still I Stand: A Life Rewritten

Overview

Before he could rewrite his story, he had to survive it. From heartbreak and hardship to healing and hope, Still I Stand: A Life Rewritten is a raw, deeply personal memoir that explores what it means to rise after everything falls apart. Christopher Angel Machado grew up learning that silence could be both a shield and a prison. In this unflinching journey through family loss, identity, love, and redemption, he peels back the layers of grief and shame that once defined him-and reveals how he learned to turn pain into purpose. Through heartbreaks that broke him open and triumphs that pieced him back together, Machado invites readers into the most intimate corners of his life: a childhood marked by absence, a career built from resilience, and relationships that taught him both the beauty and brutality of love. With vulnerability and humor, he transforms his story into a mirror for anyone who's ever felt unseen, unheard, or unworthy-and shows that healing isn't about erasing the past. It's about rewriting the narrative. Courageous, reflective, and profoundly human, Still I Stand: A Life Rewritten is more than a memoir-it's a testament to the power of second chances, self-acceptance, and standing tall in your truth, no matter how many times life tries to knock you down. Perfect for readers who love: ✨ Memoirs of resilience and self-discovery (Educated, I'm Glad My Mom Died, The Glass Castle) ✨ LGBTQ+ and Latinx storytelling rooted in authenticity and hope ✨ Stories that remind you healing is not a destination-it's a revolution
