OverviewBorn in St. Charles, Missouri in 1949, Sharon Ohlms spent her childhood and young adult years in the surrounding hills of this river town. After graduating in 1971 as a physical therapist from the University of Missouri, she moved to the countryside of Durango, Colorado to enjoy the mountains and work in nearby hospitals. She lived in a small log house and became interested in photography at that time, and has since won recognition in several professional contests in that area, with one entry published in Photographer's Forum: The Best of Photography Annual 1981. As her writings and photography reflect, Ms. Ohlms believes there is a harmony that flows through all of life and through this harmony, one is able to determine the reason of existence for all creation. There is a spiritual factor in all of life and the beauty we see always somehow returns to its one true Source. In 1991, Sharon moved back to her home town of St. Charles to begin another journey. The previous pages portray glimpses of a life that you, the readers, may identify with in some way as your own.
