Overview

"Ever wonder what would happen if someone stole the moon? Oh, Stella. Poor Stella. So cheeky and bored. When she sees a glowing ball in space, she just has to have it! But stealing the moon isn't easy and many things will go wrong if it disappears. Will Stella still take the moon away or will she decide to let it be? ""Stella Steals the Moon"" is a riotous rhyming picture book, featuring watercolour art painted by the author, a page of 'moon facts', and a color-in activity page. Themes explore looking after what we have and the science of just how important the moon is to life on Earth. A perfect story for any child curious about science and outer space."

Author Information

Luna Burlo is a children's book author and illustrator, shortlisted for the International North Street Book Prize. She was born on a sunny Mediterranean island, but now lives in the charming-but weather-challenged-suburbs of Melbourne, Australia. She is often found pottering in her little garden or dabbling with paint, both of which influence her picture books. Drawing on decades of experience as an educator, she seeks to teach and inspire her young readers in quirky, colourful, and fantastical ways.
