Overview

Fourth grader Evan finds a newly hatched stegosaurus in his backyard! He knows that it's not possible, yet there it is. Could this be real? Evan decides that it is real, and now he wants to keep the baby stegosaurus as a pet. What will his parents say? And what about his sister? She has many allergies. What if she's allergic to dinosaurs? What will happen when Steggie grows bigger? Evan must find a way to raise his stegosaurus, despite more obstacles than he could have ever imagined. It isn't easy to raise a prehistoric, extinct animal in the 21st century. How will Evan do this, and how will Steggie adapt?
