After finding out that my husband was having an affair a year ago, I filed for divorce and moved from our two-story brick home in Houston to our beach house in Galveston with our teenage son. Tonight is my first time to go out as a single woman again. I'm at a local bar and grill on the beach with my two best friends, but we didn't come here to do anything other than to let our hair down and catch up. Then I saw him staring at me from across the room. He was the definition of a tall, dark, and handsome man. He was also at least ten years younger than me and off-limits due to our age gap. But I didn't have to worry about it since I wasn't interested in getting romantically involved with anyone. I resisted him but ultimately gave in to his gentlemanly charm. After two country songs and a wonderful conversation, he and I parted ways. Less than a week later, our paths crossed again. This time, I fully gave in to him. We became lovers but are keeping our relationship a secret due to a conflict of interest that neither of us could escape. How long would we be able to carry on this charade in public? Between our stolen glances, touches, and kisses, we were sure to be found out and that was the last thing we wanted to happen.
