Statistically Speaking is a novel written through poetry. Originally a memoir, Statistically Speaking is based on the lived experiences of the author as she briefly brings us through her journey of teenage years and adulthood. Even with the privileges her family struggled to provide her, she details the obstacles thrown her way and even those she created on her own. Within every experience, she realized that at some point she became a statistic but survived.

Dr. Caroline Lauture-Azeb is an educator, activist, and writer originally from Boston, Massachusetts. Writing has always been her passion and she hopes to publish more of her work in the future. She lives with her husband, two small children and their dog. Statistically Speaking, is her first published novel.
