Reviews

I know no publication that has brought such a wide range of information together in a single volume....There is a wide range of potential users of this handbook. Researchers new to the field of aging obviously benefit by this compilation....Established researchers also benefit by having a wide range of information available that is not directly related to their more specific research agendas....Policy makers and policy advocates will also find the range of carefully compiled information useful. This handbook is also a superb resource for teachers. -Contemporary Gerontology This book is a must for library reference. -Journal of Gerontology ... should be a valuable addition to the reference shelf of anyone concerned with the aging of America. -American Demographics ... good reference for librarians, researchers, social service planners, and gerontology program administrators. -Library Journal A wealth of readily available statistical data.... extremely valuable resource....This updated resource is a must for the gerontologist and is highly recommended for public college, and university libraries. -ARBA ?This book is a must for library reference.??Journal of Gerontology ?...should be a valuable addition to the reference shelf of anyone concerned with the aging of America.?-American Demographics ?A wealth of readily available statistical data.... extremely valuable resource....This updated resource is a must for the gerontologist and is highly recommended for public college, and university libraries.?-ARBA ?This book is a must for library reference.?-Journal of Gerontology ?...commendable thoroughness....invaluable for social-service workers, teachers, and planners.?-Booklist/Reference Books Bulletin ?I know no publication that has brought such a wide range of information together in a single volume....There is a wide range of potential users of this handbook.
