RAYMOND CHAPMAN is Emeritus Professor of English Literature in the University of London, a non-stipendiary priest in the diocese of Southwark and a Vice-Chairman of the Prayer Book Society. His many books include Leading Intercesions, Hear Our Prayer and A Pastoral Prayer Book.
