Table of ContentsReviewsAuthor InformationJaime Case was born in 1957 in Texas by accident while his father was doing his divinity degree at Perkins School of Theology at Southern Methodist University. He arrived in the Philippines at nine months of age. He returned to the Sates for College in 1976. Jaime went to Coe College, Cedar Rapids Iowa, where he graduated cum laude in 1980 with two majors, Spanish and English. He is a member of Phi Beta Kappa and Phi Kappa Phi honors societies. In 1980 he married Amy Peterson of Davenport, Iowa, and they moved to Dallas, Texas where they had three children. After working in the printing industry for 10 years, he succumbed to a long resisted call to be in the ordained ministry. He was ordained a presbyter in the Episcopal Church in January of 1995. In February of 1994 he began serving as Vicar of San Francisco de Asis and joined the Board of El Buen Samaritano, a social service ministry. He took over as Executive Director of El Buen Samaritano in August of 1995. He left both jobs in June of 2003. July 1, 2003 he became the Executive Director of the Center for Hispanic Ministries Province VII, a post he continues to hold as a volunteer. He is the Canon for Multicultural Ministries for the Diocese of Texas, Associate Faculty of the Episcopal Seminary of the Southwest and a faculty team member for the Spanish Clergy Renewal, Education and Development Opportunity (CREDO) team since 2005. He has participated in the development of classes in the Hispanic Church Studies Concentration which was launched by ETSS in 2007.
