OverviewThe year is 2024 and the world is still reeling from the pandemic that wiped out billions of people from the planet. Through a stroke of good (or bad) luck, it was discovered that the vaccine that was supposed to save humanity from the virus was actually a cure for cancer, and those eighteen million souls who received it are the only ones left. Two of those survivors are Charlie and Everett, who now have the opportunity to create lives for themselves wherever they choose. The world is literally open to them. Though they come from different walks of life, Everett a former member of the Canadian Navy, and Charlie a recovering alcoholic, they set out for one of the most beautiful places they can think of: Vancouver Island. With so few people left, it seems like fate that they should meet in a rural part of the island. Their connection is instant, and within days they realize that they want to spend the rest of their lives together. The love they share is full of honesty, trust, and passion. As they work together to find ways to survive in this reality, Charlie battles intense nightmares that also haunt her during the day. Everett is there to help ease her troubles, but Charlie can't help thinking, is he too good to be true?
