This story is simply AMAZING!!! It is definitely a tear-jerker, but it's worth the hard feelings to get to the uplifting and joyful affirmations from Rachel and all of the different families that she has helped on her journey. (Jennifer C., high school teacher) A fascinating account of a mother's journey and transformation through grief after the tragic loss of her teenaged son and how her experience enhanced her innate spiritual gifts, enabling her to connect others with their loved ones on the other side of the veil. (Jane Weaver, bereaved mother) I have read a hundred books on grief, the afterlife, and what it is like to survive losing a child since I lost my 21-year-old daughter three years ago. This book is the most honest, helpful, and truly inspiring one that I have read. (Pam Hurley, bereaved mother) Rachel gets very real and personal in this book by telling us, the reader, her and her family's story into an abyss where none of us imagined we would ever go, until we do. Rachel also tells us the story of her special gift, the gift of being able to communicate with Spirit from the other side of the veil. I know her story to be true, for Rachel has been the conduit for connection to my son and other loved ones in Spirit. I highly recommend that you read her story, Start it Up. (Bobby Morton, bereaved father) An inspiring and powerful true story of the loss of a child. This book depicts the deep loss and the deeper love straight from the heart, that only a family can feel by experiencing this kind of grief. It also gives a person the courage and strength to face each moment as it comes and to grow and heal and move forward with the knowing that your child is with you, not in the physical form, but in Spirit. A must-read for you or anyone you know has experienced this kind of loss in their life. Grief and Joy can co-exist.
