OverviewMy heart broke at the sight of my granddaughter's distress when she remembered what happened when she was just four and her two-year-old brother died by drowning. I wanted to help her handle the grief; I made this book about the events and emotions surrounding his death. It describes how they grew up together until the moment that she had to continue without him and waved at his star in the sky. Fellow-sufferers, parents, teachers, social workers and others can use the book as support for bereavement. With my husband and youngest son, I live on the outskirts of a village in Drenthe. I spent 20 years working in education and in the supervision of infants. I really enjoy the country. Today, I am busy volunteering, working in ornamental and vegetable garden and drawing and painting. I also love to roam with my fjord horse through field and forest.
