Catherine Bunton Star Girl is a combination of all the wonderful female characters that have shaped my life. I was raised by Star Girls and I met a lot of Star Girls when I was Vice President of Shelter the Children, a residential program for abused and homeless young girls. I'm grateful it was in the stars for me to cross paths with these remarkable young girls. They taught me more about the universal spirit than I ever could have taught them. They have earned their place on the Sky Queen's Starlight Robe. M. Catherine Bunton attended Miss Hickey's Business College, graduated Cum Laude with a BA in English Literature from the University of Missouri, and received her Master's Degree from Washington University. She was published in Washington University's Journal, Voices, received the Editor's Choice Award in poetry for How One Poet Found Her Voice, has received special recognition by the American Poetry Society, and her most recent anthologized publication is A Statute in Stardust. The author is a Special Assistant to the St. Louis County Executive, and an adjunct professor at the St. Louis Community College where she teaches Writing and Literature. She is the author of The Little Maestro, Baby Giggles, a contributor to A Mid-Winter Knight's Tale, and has over twenty poems in national anthologies.
