OverviewThe application of reproductive biotechnologies to wild animals has increased in recent years. In the case of reptiles, the reasons for this are the restriction of animal imports, a reduction in the introduction of diseases, an increase in the number of endangered species, making it possible to exchange genetic material, reducing costs, rapid population growth, promoting gamete and/or embryo banking, among others. The aim of this work was to standardise semen collection in snake species from different families, Epicrates crassus, Python regius and Crotalus durissus terrificus. The book is intended for professionals and students of veterinary medicine and biology.
