Overview

Author Information

Daniel Benton began his writing career on the television series POLICEWOMAN, starring Angie Dickinson. Then came series such as PAPER CHASE, DYNASTY, JAKE AND THE FATMAN, and ADVENTURES IN WONDERLAND, for which he received Emmy and Writers Guild Awards nominations. In film, Daniel has written independent features including NUDITY REQUIRED, starring Julie Newmar and Brad Zutaut; L.A. GODDESS, with Kathy Shower; LETHAL GAMES, starring Frank Stallone and Brenda Vaccaro; TO THE ENDS OF TIME, with Joss Ackland; plus horror thrillers NEATH DEATH, with Scott Lunsford and directed by Joe Castro; then JACKHAMMER MASSACRE and THE REVOLTING DEAD, both starring Aaron Gaffey and directed by Michael Su; and action thriller SPECIAL OPS: DELTA FORCE, with Bruce Davison and directed by Cole McKay. Daniel's film producing credits began as associate producer on L.A. GODDESS; then executive producer, producer, and writer on NEAR DEATH. THE REVOLTING DEAD followed, which he executive produced and co-wrote with director Michael Su. Subsequent films have been MY DEMON WITHIN, also starring Aaron Gaffey and directed by Michael Su; and participation and consulting on HARD SUN, directed by Canyon Prince, and RUN LIKE HELL, directed by James Thomas. Future projects include POE, a film/TV series based on the stories of Edgar Allan Poe. Daniel continues to write, produce, and consult in film and television projects of all genres.
