Author Information

SaDonna Heathman knows all about searching for the perfect spot to sploot. Just like her two mischievous characters, she lives on a farm-but when the summer heat is on, she heads to the local lake to cool off! A lifelong storyteller, she wrote her first story after receiving a typewriter in elementary school and hasn't stopped since. Inspired by farm life and the joy of cooling off on a hot summer day, Sploot is a playful celebration of staying cool as temperatures rise. When not writing, SaDonna stays busy on the family farm alongside her husband, three kids, and loads of farm animals-and maybe even a squirrel or two! You can find her chasing her next story-from her comfiest splooting spot at gallopbooks.com. Brooke Sperry loves to cool off by splooting on ice cream. Just kidding! She'd rather eat it instead! A lifelong artist and compulsive doodler, she loves drawing animal characters doing hilarious things. When not in her studio, she is also an elementary school teacher and mom to two really awesome kids. Her hobbies include forgetting to water houseplants, overfeeding her pets, and watching squirrel antics in the big tree behind her house.
