In the last decade, there has been increasing interest and research in sagittal balance and standing posture.The sagittal profile of the spine has been widely investigated in numerous studies, primarily in normal population then extending to patients with spinal ailments like listhesis, degenerative conditions, deformity. Spinal balance is conceived as the result of an optimal lordotic positioning of the vertebrae above a correctly oriented pelvis.
