Author Information

Reinhard Meinel (geb. 1958) hat in Jena Physik studiert und wurde dort 1984 promoviert. Nach zweijähriger Arbeit in der Mikroelektronikindustrie in Dresden und fünfjähriger astrophysikalischer Forschung in Potsdam kehrte er 1991 an die Friedrich-Schiller-Universität Jena zurück, wo er sich 1992 habilitierte, Mitglied einer Max-Planck-Arbeitsgruppe war und seit 1999 als Professor für theoretische Physik tätig ist. Seine Forschungsinteressen liegen hauptsächlich auf den Gebieten der Gravitationstheorie und der relativistischen Astrophysik.
