Overview

"Throughout history, from Ancient Greece to the fall of Berlin Wall, words have been used to encapsulate emotions, to raise morale, and to revive dying embers of revolutions. Such is the power of words. They can change the views of the masses in minutes and thus they can change a population's hearts. Such changes of hearts in the past have shaped our world today, for better or worse. Past events are a great indicator of future events therefore it is very important for one to delve into the history books to seek out answers to one's own problems and possibly answers to global issues we face today. Therefore, due to the power words have and due to the importance of history, I have decided to write this book compiling some of the most influential speeches ever delivered. This book follows a Triple-C approach. 1 - Context, 2- Content, 3 - Consequences. Simply stated, Context is the ""backstory"" of the speech. What was taking place historically before this speech. Content is the actual of the speech. Consequences is what happened after the speech. This approach allows the reader to understand why the speech was made and what effect the speech had on the course of history. After reading all three sections, the reader will understand why a speech shaped the world we live in today."
