Norman Page is emeritus professor of modern English literature at the University of Nottingham, UK. His books include The Language of Jane Austen, Thomas Hardy, A. E. Housman: A Critical Biography, A Dickens Companion, and A Kipling Compansion, as well as volumes on Lawrence, Tennyson, James, and Byron in Macmillan's Interviews and Recollections series. He is the editor of the Thomas Hardy Annual, the Macmillan Modern Novelists, and Author Chronologies.
