Author Information

Edward L. Machtinger, MD, is a Professor of Medicine and the Director of the Women's HIV Program at the University of California at San Francisco (UCSF). Peter A. Nigrovic, MD, is Associate Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School and an adult and pediatric rheumatologist at Boston Children's Hospital and at the Brigham & Women's Hospital, where he directs the Center for Adults with Pediatric Rheumatic Illness (CAPRI). He has practiced clinical medicine in the immigrant community of Chelsea, Massachusetts, and in Guatemala. Janice A. Lowe, MD, is a Clinical Professor of Pediatrics at the Stanford University School Medicine.
