Katja Brenner studierte an der Universität Bonn Spanisch und Deutsch. Ihre Examensarbeit mit dem Thema «Funktion und Verwendung von Modalpartikeln: spanisch und » wurde mit dem Stiftungspreis Rey de España der spanischen Botschaft ausgezeichnet. Sie war am Institut für Klassische und Romanische Philologie im Projekt Euromorphologie tätig. Derzeit arbeitet sie als Gymnasiallehrerin.
