OverviewIs Santa real? When two curious kids begin to question the holiday stories they've been told, an unexpected visitor arrives to help them discover the truth - The Flying Spaghetti Monster. From the ancient Roman celebration of Saturnalia to Nicholas of Myra, from Odin to Father Christmas, Spaghetti's Ready For The Truth About Santa explores how cultural traditions evolved over time to shape the holiday hero we know and cherish today. Written for parents of children who are ready for the truth, this one-of-a-kind tale brings a secular, science-minded perspective to the season while using humor, history, and critical thinking to gently guide families through one of childhood's biggest questions. More than just a story about Santa, this book is a playful introduction to the way beliefs evolve, myths merge, and cultures create meaning - encouraging kids to see the holidays not as magic, but as a celebration of imagination, generosity, and wonder. www.thespaghettimonster.com Full Product DetailsAuthor: Michael Reason , Geoffry SmalleyPublisher: Bread Bag Boot Imprint: Bread Bag Boot Dimensions: Width: 17.80cm , Height: 0.60cm , Length: 25.40cm Weight: 0.327kg ISBN: 9798992161113Pages: 42 Publication Date: 24 November 2025 Recommended Age: From 8 to 12 years Audience: Children/juvenile , Children / Juvenile Format: Hardback Publisher's Status: Active Availability: Not yet available This item is yet to be released. Table of ContentsReviews""Absolute non-sense!"" - Santa Author InformationAs a father of two, Michael grew frustrated by the lack of children's books that explore the idea of belief through a secular and critical-thinking lens. When the pandemic paused his career as a documentary filmmaker, he revisited a familiar subject-his 2020 film I, Pastafari, which chronicled followers of the Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster-for inspiration. His current work seeks to introduce young readers to big ideas about myth, culture, and reason, encouraging them to explore the world with curiosity, skepticism, and open minds. Geoffry Smalley is an illustrator who lives and works in a green, tucked away corner of North Portland with his wife, 11 year old kid, and a tiny dog that is just one click above a stuffed animal. After receiving his MFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2002 and working as a gallery artist, muralist, painting and drawing teacher, and art conservator, he realized that making books for children is really what he wants to do when he grows up.
