Spaceships Passing in the Night

Overview

The evisceration of four space stations has left millions dead and the galaxy sick with terror. Who destroyed them, and when will they strike again? Cue broadcaster Roz Dayne, who already thought her life had fallen apart months ago, long before she was at the centre of an interstellar investigation as the only apparent link between the disasters. The court of public opinion has already decided her guilt, and Roz is overcome with regret. Regret for leaving her ex-girlfriend, regret for taking her dream job, regret for everything that has led up to her being on the air before the attacks. She just wants life to return to normal, but normal is a lifetime ago. With the help of one vintage detective, two spirited bounty hunters, and an anxious physics student, she embarks on a mission to clear her name, solve the mystery, and try to piece her life back together before the next space station blows.

Author Information

K. P. Kilbride (she/her) is a permanently windswept Scottish science fiction author writing stories about strangers coming together to save the galaxy and themselves. Inspired by the likes of Terry Pratchett, her works are set in a far-future take on the Milky Way galaxy in which humanity has reached the stars, encountered aliens, and settled into a comedically mundane coexistence.
