Overview

In a changing and inter-connected world, evidence-based information is essential for effectively addressing health problems. In this context, epidemiology plays an important role in providing data that can help setting priorities in an environment of limited resources, in planning of strategies and policies, and in advocating for timely and coordinated action. This important and comprehensive book contains the proceedings of the SEA Regional conference on Epidemiology, held in New Delhi, 8-10 March 2010. The conference was attended by 350 delegates from within and outside the South-East Asia Region.
