Goldsworthy is Professor of Speech-Language Pathology at California State University, Sacramento, and served as Vice-Chair of the Department of Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology for ten years. Honored as an Outstanding Alumna, she also won the Outstanding Teaching Award for the College of Health and Human Services. Dr. Goldsworthy is also Co-Director of the Sacramento Scottish Rite Clinic for Childhood Language Disorders and a partner in the private practice of Speech-Language-Learning Associates. A Fellow of the California Speech-Language-Hearing Association, Dr.Goldsworthy received its Distinguished Achievement award in 2009. Dr. Goldsworthy has presented workshops on child language and literacy throughout the United States and published several books, including Volumes I and 2 of this text, and Volume 3, which she wrote with Dr. Robert Pieretti. Additional publications include Developmental Reading Disabilities: A Language Based Treatment Approach and Linking the Strands of Language and Literacy: A Resource Manual.
