They learn about rules and the importance of good sportsmanship as they join a soccer team near their home. Sophia and Alex make new friends on the team and play their first match.The 32-page illustrated book demonstrates role playing on a team, whether it be from watching others play a sport or embracing their own responsibility as a team member. Author Information

Author Denise Bourgeois-Vance is a bilingual immigrant to the United States. She holds a degree in Social Science from Washington State University and has worked as a preschool teacher and Family Support Specialist. She is a mother and grandmother, currently living in Washington State with her husband. Artist Damon Danielson is a gifted children's book illustrator with over 20 years of art and illustration experience. He has worked with preschool and elementary-aged children, developing artwork, curriculum, and activities. Damon and his family live in the greater Atlanta, GA area, where they own and operate a graphic arts company.
