Overview

"Written by experts, ""Ammonite's Expanded Guides"" cover all the capabilities of each featured camera. Jargon free and in full-colour, this title covers Sony's A230, A330, & A380 DSLR cameras. The A230 is one of the lightest DSLRs on the market, and features an APS-C sized image sensor and in-body image stabilisation. Fewer buttons and an interface on the 2.7-inch LCD screen offers a choice of six Scene Selection modes. The A330 and A380's LCD screen tilts up or down, increasing options for comfortable shooting. The A330 and A380 also feature Quick AF Live View, combining the benefits of live image preview with autofocus. Imaging quality is superb, thanks to the APS-C sized CCD sensor working with the BIONZ image processing engine. The BIONZ processor allows continuous shooting at up to 2.5 fps (2 fps in Live View mode, A380 only). Self-timer drive mode grabs a burst of 3 or 5 frames. All three models feature SteadyShot INSIDE for clearer pictures when shooting handheld, and connect to any HD Ready TV. PhotoTV HD support ensures excellent still image reproduction on compatible BRAVIA models and allows control of slideshow and other playback functions using a TV remote. Alternatively, the camera's optional Memory Stick can be used to share images with other HD viewing possibilities."
