Glenn K. Alkire was born in West Virginia and raised in southeastern Connecticut. He is the author of children's picture books The Leaf that Never Fell and Sonny Side Up. When he isn't writing, Alkire works as an agency-owner for architectural and engineering firms. He is the father of two sons, Brian and Brad.
