Author Information

William Blake (1757-1827) was an artist, writer, poet and romantic visionary, considered today to be one of Britain's greatest creative geniuses. He is best-known for his illustrations for Dante's Divine Comedy and his poetry collection, Songs of Innocence and of Experience, which features his unique method of ""illuminated printing,"" combining text and illustration in a single artistic process. Blake's work gained acclaim posthumously and is now celebrated as foundational to the Romantic movement. His enduring legacy lies in his ability to merge art, poetry, and spiritual vision into a singular, transcendent body of work.
