Author Information

Cynthia Butler grew up with a love for music and art, receiving many opportunities throughout her life to contribute to creative projects. When in High school, she formed the group Canopy with her twin sister Alicia. They wrote and recorded Christian songs and sang in churches and other venues. In College, the twins were married and continued to minister through music together with their new husbands. Today, Cynthia homeschools her daughter Melody, teaches music and art classes, and continues to produce new artwork and music. Canopy is a folk/pop/Christian band that writes and performs music. The band consists of twin sisters Alicia Motter-Vlahakos and Cynthia Butler, along with their spouses Ed Motter-Vlahakos and Kevin Butler. Kayla Lewis, a woman of many talents, works primarily as a photographer and graphics designer. When Kayla's ""know-how"" collided with Cynthia's vision, this book turned from a dream to a reality. Kayla lives with her husband Josh and their son Braddock in Jewett, TX. Kayla serves as the media and communications director at First Baptist Jewett where Braddock and Melody run the halls together each Sunday.
