""The Who"" is a legndaryEnglish rock band formed in 1964, renowned for their powerful live performances, iconic frontman Roger Daltry, Pete Townshend on guitar with his windmill strum and power chords, the thundering bass lines of John Entwistle and aggressive drumming of Keith Moon. They were punks at times, but quinessential professionals in the recording studio when creating music, yet a complete lack of chemistry off stage. All the members grew up in London with Daltry and Townshend going to Acton Grammar School together. Their music was marked with social commentary and they created two rock operas, ""Tommy"" and ""Quadrophenia"" among their twelve studio albums. The Who is known for their songs ""My Generation,"" ""Pinball Wizard,"" and ""Baba O'Reilly."" They are considered one of the most influential rock bands with their 32 songs or albums on Billboard's Top 100. All four members are rock pioneers covern every subgenre of hard rock, heavy metal, punk or pop rock. Jimi Hendrix, The Beatles, Pink Floyd and Queen all demanded amp setups that Pete Townshend pioneered from Marshall's music shop in London.
