SOMO and Photoredox Activations in Asymmetric Organocatalysis presents the most significant developments in this area, with a particular focus on asymmetric SOMO- and photoredox-organocatalyzed processes. Over the last 15 years, asymmetric organocatalysis has been growing exponentially. Although mostly based on polar modes of activation, recent important progress has been attained in this field by promoting the formation of, and harnessing the reactivity of, radical intermediates.
