Author Information

Nancy K. Crevier graduated from Bemidji State University in Bemidji, Minnesota with a BA in German in 1978 - the year she also married Philip Crevier and moved to Connecticut, where they raised two wonderful children. Over the years her poetry has been inspired by people, places, memories, and moments revealed in nature and humanity.Her debut book of poetry, The Peach Quartet, was published in 2022, followed by Pieces of the World in 2023. Nancy has enjoyed sharing poems from these books at readings hosted by many local organizations and through other events. Writing is an ongoing process and she is happy to introduce her newest collection of poetry, Somewhere Lightning Strikes, to readers. Nancy has co-owned and operated a natural foods restaurant, catered, taught cooking courses, and written food columns. While raising children, she worked part-time at a gardening center and as an educational assistant in the reading department of a local school. In 2005, she began a new career as a reporter at The Newtown Bee in Newtown, Connecticut, and went on to become the editor of the newspaper. She retired in 2021, allowing more time to pursue writing, painting, and exploring the world far and near. She is overjoyed to have the name ""Nana"" and the role of grandparent added to her resume in recent years.
