Overview

8 year old Brianna is a worrier and her biggest worry is swimming. She is afraid to get into a pool or any body of water other than the bathtub. All her friends want her to join them at the pool but Brianna makes one excuse after another for why she cannot come. Finally, her mother reveals that she too is afraid of the water and does not know how to swim. Brianna decides to take swimming lessons so that she can teach her mom how to swim. Courageously Brianna learns to swim thanks to a supportive teacher. Many times she is discouraged but she never gives up on her promise to her mother. As the years pass, Brianna earns many medals in swimming competitions. But the greatest achievement for Brianna is to be able to teach her mother to swim.
