OverviewIt's a Friday afternoon in the spring of 1985, when Crystal and Barb, two girls from Whitehall, the neighborhood group home for troubled kids, approach Angie at school. Crystal's little sister has disappeared, and her foster parents and the police think she's just another runaway. Crystal doesn't believe it, and when she and Barb learn there's a ghost involved, they know they're going to need the kind of help Angie, David and Jenny have developed a reputation for. The Zodiac Cusp Kids enlist some extra help from Jen's twin Jon and a couple very special German Shepherd pups to uncover what has really happened to Crystal's sister, and what they find is darker and more complex than anyone imagined. Something Lost is the third of seven stories drawn from Angie's diaries. Kept safely hidden for decades, they tell how the kids spent their teenage years - working with their mentor, Mr. Rakow, and Jenny's mom, Lorraine, who dabbles in witchcraft, to realize their power and battle the forces of darkness that menace their hometown. Table of ContentsReviewsDespite being the third book in Sarah's Zodiac Cusp Kid series, Something Lost manages to keep the thrills and chills coming. With a young girl's life on the line and the clock ticking, the kids face one of their toughest challenges yet. Sarah does masterful work with both pace and plot, making it easy for the reader to forget the time as they turn page after page. This is one of my favorites so far! Another adventure for the Zodiac Cusp kids. Each book delves deeper into the kids' powers and even though there were less chills in this story, there was still lots of growth in the characters. These books are perfect for the reluctant teen reader and middle grades ages, especially those that enjoy ghost stories. Fans of Mary Downing Hahn will enjoy!
