Overview

Whimsically written and illustrated by Loraine Peck, this novella is a funny and sometimes scary insight into what can happen under the influence of hallucinogenic asthma drugs. The author (AKA Princess Lolly), would rather be shopping at Chanel, but she becomes convinced that she is really trapped on some kind of strange airline, unable to land. With help from her trusty steed, Sir Stead, she is finally upgraded from Economy to First Class. Meanwhile, she has actually been admitted to hospital where she battles midnight visits from a large young madman, painful medical procedures, the horror of shared bathrooms and eventual isolation in The Princess Lolly Suite. None of this stops her shopping. As a cavalcade of friends and family pass through the doors marked SEE SISTER BEFORE ENTERING, we are taken on a magic carpet ride through Princess Lolly's kingdom.
