Author Information

Alan Bandstra is a middle school teacher with more than 30 years experience. Long fascinated with peer influence in learning spaces, he has studied the social factors of classroom management from the angles of scriptural teaching and empirical research. Alan's relatable stories draw from countless instances of contagious behavior he has witnessed as an educator, teacher mentor, and youth ministry volunteer. On summer breaks, Alan rejuvenates by loading his tools into the back of ""Methuselah"" (a rusty 1956 school bus) and working on home-repair projects for neighbors in his hometown of Sioux Center, Iowa.
