Overview

This volume comprises the proceedings of the International Conference on Solid-Solid Phase Transformations in Inorganic Materials, PTM '94, held at Nemacolin Woodlands Resort in Farmington, Pennsylvania, July 17-22, 1994. The conference was sponsored by The Minerals, Metals & Materials Society (TMS) and co-sponsored by the American Ceramics Society, ASM International, the Institute of Materials and the Japan Institute of Materials. A total of 168 reviewed papers present a cross-fertilization of theoretical and experimental approaches currently emerging in the phase transformation studies of ceramics and minerals, as well as from the fields of critical phenomena and lattice dynamics in condensed matter physics.
