Overview

This publication is for skill levels (SL) 3, 4, and 5 Soldiers holding Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) 42A and their trainers/first-line supervisors. It contains standardized training objectives in the form of task summaries, which can be used to train and evaluate Soldiers on critical tasks that support unit missions during wartime. Soldiers holding the MOS/SL 42A 3, 4, and 5 should have access to this publication. It should be made available in the Soldier's work area, unit learning center, and unit library. Trainers and first-line supervisors should actively plan for Soldiers to have access to this publication. This publication applies to the Active Army, the Army National Guard (ARNG)/Army National Guard of the United States (ARNGUS), and the United States Army Reserve (USAR) unless otherwise stated. The proponent of this publication is the United States Army Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC).
