OverviewIn this research, different materials such as fluorite, barite, molybdenite, calcite and coconut shell carbon were put in contact with sodium cyanide. As a result, cyanide adsorbs better on molybdenite due to the charge in which it works and also due to the charge interaction phenomenon, and with coconut shell charcoal, a higher percentage of 78 percent was observed due to the increase of functional groups. With respect to the infrared spectroscopy with Fourier transforms, the presence of the functional groups of the activated carbon could be noticed and that were corroborated in XPS, in addition it could also be noticed shifts in the molybdenite this was due to the adsorption of cyanide.with respect to the photoelectron spectroscopy of x-rays, showed greater presence of the cyano group in most of these, in the characterized samples we also noticed the presence of the carboxylic and carbonyl functional groups in charge of the adsorption.
